Take off all clothes & jewelry, put your hair up in a tight bun. Open a pack of Lip Balm and use so your lips don’t dry out.
Right before you step into our booth- Scrub yourself with our Norvell Glow System Exfoliating Mitt. If you tanned before this, use the mitt prior to putting on a spray tan friendly tanning lotion. We don’t recommend tanning after a spray as it dries out the spray and doesn’t let it develop the way it should. Throw the mitt in trash now. We suggest using our STICKY FEET to avoid bottoms of your feet getting way too dark, you can wear these home to avoid sock or shoe lines! Use the Barrier Cream to the right of the mirror on the bottoms of your hands, in-between your fingers, lightly on the tops of your hands and on your finger nails. If you need to use a pair of nose filters or eyewear please take 1 pair to use this session. Place a hair net behind your hair line, make sure to put behind ears and not over any skin to avoid weird tan lines. The spray will not ruin your hair if you’re worried about thin parts of your hair line. After spray move towards the door to avoid any splashes coming from the booth. Skip putting your bra and panties on, make sure to put loose/baggy clothes on and remain in those while your spray sets. Avoid sweating and getting wet while the spray sets and don’t rub or scratch your spray. The Clear Solution can be rinsed off in 4 hours for a kiss of color, 8 hours for light color, 16 hours for medium color and 24 hours for the darkest color development of the color level you selected. Do not wait longer than 24 hours to rinse off. For the Bronze spray 30 minutes for a kiss of color, 1 hour for light, 2 hours for medium and 3 hours for the darkest. Do not keep on longer than 3 hours. When you rinse off, rinse with Cool water and use your hands to gently move away the solution, do not scrub or use washcloths or soap. Do not shampoo or shave during the rinse off. If the clear spray looks bad after the rinse off or while developing we need you to contact us right then and there or come in for us to be able to help. If we are not contacted directly after the rinse off there is nothing we are able to do to fix the spray. The bronze spray will still take 24 hours to fully develop so we will need to be contacted by the next day. Your spray will look its best after 24 to 48 hours when your natural contours and highlights return. We always suggest spraying 2 days before the event you want to be tanned for. Due to the natural shed of your skin, as well as products used before/after your spray as well as water quality we can’t guarantee the spray will last after this. But using our moisturizers and bodywashes we carry that are made to extend and keep spray tans can help extend the life of your spray, typically our tanners who follow our suggestions spray every 7 to 10 days. Before your next spray you will want to shower, shampoo, shave, exfoliate or use our spray tan remover the night before your spray tan and have nothing on your skin after. It is important to remove the old spray so the new spray has clean and non dha saturated skin to attach to. You don’t want to shower and exfoliate right before your spray tan as too fresh of skin won’t hold the solution right. If you need a color boost ask about our double leg options or our double color options!!!

In Western societies, people spend most of their waking hours indoors, exposing themselves to virtually no sunlight. Natural sunlight contains all visible and non-visible spectral characteristics of light. Both play key roles in human health and well-being. In this particular context, the non-visible near-infrared light has been shown to be beneficial for a wide range of conditions. In the present study, we investigated the effects of morning exposure to near-infrared light five days per week for four consecutive weeks in a group (n = 56) of healthy individuals with mild sleep complaints. We observed consistent positive effects on several aspects of well-being and health but not on sleep or circadian rhythms. The benefits were only visible in the winter months, when sufficient exposure to sunlight is more challenging. The present study investigated rather low-energy light levels, which would allow for relatively easy incorporation of such technology into a household or personal appliances. Because of people’s indoor lifestyle and the need for more healthy buildings, the current results may open new ways of creating an optimal environment for a healthier society by preventing some negative effects produced by the lack of sunlight. 4/26/2024 0 Comments Red light therapy database (www.bitly.com/PBM-database) currently lists over 7,300 scientific papers relevant to photobiomodulation.Red light therapy database (www.bitly.com/PBM-database) currently lists over 7,300 scientific papers relevant to photobiomodulation.

"AbstractBoth sun exposure and serum vitamin D levels have been associated with lower risks of all-cause mortality and chronic age-related diseases, e.g., cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, in epidemiological studies. These associations have mainly been ascribed to beneficial effects of vitamin D. However, a vast body of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and Mendelian randomization studies have failed to confirm any major health benefits from vitamin D supplementation. In this review, we present tentative evidence showing that red and near-infrared light, both being present in sunlight, could explain the associations between sunlight exposure and better health status. Body irradiation with red and near-infrared light, usually termed as photobiomodulation (PBM), has demonstrated beneficial effects in animal models of chronic diseases. Beyond this, preliminary evidence from RCTs suggest potential clinical benefit from PBM for chronic diseases. PBM is currently being investigated in many pre-registered clinical trials, results of which will eventually clarify the role of red and near-infrared light in the prevention and treatment of common age-related chronic diseases." 11/9/2021 0 Comments Secrets of the Tanning Pros!WaitingSkipping every day allows you to boost up time a little bit faster than going every day! Tanning lamps are designed to be exposed to every 48 hours. Your body takes this long to absorb and process the light it gets during a sun session. Going more frequent is considered over exposure we and we always advocate smart sun exposure! Your body also will go into defend mode and will hit a tanning plateau quicker going more frequently. Follow the Proven ScienceKnowing your skin type allows us to prescribe a tanning exposure schedule that will work for your skin, not against it! Do you know we cannot tan if we are a skin type 1? We suggest self tanners and spray tans. Skin type 2s need to really start low and build up slow, they don't have a lot of natural melanin and need to build that up so their skin does what it is supposed to, prevents burn. Skin type 3 is what the average tanner is, it isn't a free pass to start off a full time but generally we can start you just under half the time and your body will know what to do!! Whatever your skin type, it is important to listen to your skin, and take your time. The better of a unit you go in the more efficiently your tan will build. Skin Care RoutineYou don't buy a new car just to drain it of its oil, put butter in the washer fluid reservoir, and put bald tires on it. You need to rock the before, during, and after to not just make your tan amazing, but also to boost your skin's appearance. Tanning always gets a bad rap for aging you too fast, and without care, it will! Tanning sucks all your moisture from your skin during a session. So let us suggest our favorite products to give you that healthy beautiful glow to your skin!
TANTOO!!!!!!!Make sure to use a tanning tattoo sticker each visit so you can track your tanning progress. We build so gradually its hard to notice, having something to compare to will always help you see where you are at!
No sticker? Usually under the butt has a couple tan lines to compare to ;) 2/20/2020 1 Comment Tips for the PERFECT Spray TanThe best time to spray is 2 days before your event. If your event is on a Saturday, you will want to spray on a Thursday. That means your prep day is Wednesday!!!!AVOID Any product on your skin after your prep shower. Moisturizers, Perfumes, Oils, Makeup can all prevent your spray from absorbing correctly. Same thing for shaving! Those bars of stuff on razors are huge problem! They create a shield at making sprays just fall off skin!! We suggest only using products before/during/after your spray that are made for sprays! Read below for our favorite products and how to use them in your routine for the best results! |
